General information
Innsbruck isn‘t just the perfect destination for skiing or a winter break; with its breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains the Tyrolean capital also offers plenty of opportunities for summertime leisure activities. Take a stroll through the old town past the beautiful gothic and Baroque facades of the historic buildings. The city centre is also home to Innsbruck’s most famous landmark, the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof). The Bergisel, Europe’s most modern ski jump, combines a range of building styles – a must-see for architecture fans. For amazing views of the city and the Tyrolean Alps, visit the Panorama Café on the Bergisel viewing platform.

Nightlife
If you think that Innsbruck is a sleepy place, you’ll quickly change your mind once you’ve sampled the city’s vibrant nightlife.
La Habana (Maria-Theresien-Strasse 18) is the perfect place for lovers of all things Cuban – puff away on a cigar or sip a cocktail or a glass of fine wine to the exotic sound of Cuban music.
For exclusive drinks and a breathtaking view of the city, visit the American Bar 5th Floor at The Penz Hotel (Adolf-Pichler-Platz 3). See out the day in style with a relaxing drink and soft music on the rooftop terrace.
Fans of Irish pubs can find everything their heart desires at the Arthur Bailey Authentic Irish Bar (Kaiserjägerstrasse 4). With a wide selection of beers – including Guinness, of course – and regular live music, the Arthur Bailey is a firm favourite with Innsbruck’s late night crowd.

Restaurants
Innsbruck is also a culinary hotspot, with a host of restaurants serving everything from Italian and Mexican to traditional Austrian cuisine.
For fine food and stunning architecture, Lichtblick (Maria-Theresien-Strasse 18, 7th floor) is the place to be. With a modern design that combines openness, transparency and clear lines, Lichtblick is a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre . The perfect blend of imagination and creativity – in culinary and architectural terms.
Sitzwohl (Stadtforum) is a connoisseur’s delight – award-winning food, plush surroundings and excellent service. This is the perfect choice for all occasions, whether for a business meeting or a relaxing meal with family or friends.
Sample creative cuisine in an exclusive setting at Pfefferkorn (Seilergasse 8). The restaurant is famous for its five-course meals prepared by leading chefs who use only the finest ingredients and delicate herbs. This is definitely the place for people with more sophisticated tastes.

Shopping
Innsbruck is a paradise for shopaholics and bargain hunters alike.
If you’re looking for an original souvenir, head for the Old Town where you’ll find the perfect gift for friends and relatives back home – Süsse Schindeln for those with a sweet tooth, traditional cured meat or real Tyrolean schnapps.
For shopping fans with more refined tastes, try the Rathausgalerien in the city centre. The wide variety of shops has everything from jewellery and accessories to the latest fashions – and all at a price to suit every purse!
You can also find a number of shopping centres on the edge of the city. The DEZ and Sillpark outlets are easy to reach with public transport and boast a massive selection of shops and stores.
