NIKI posts strong performance in Graz in summer 2009
One of NIKI’s 180-seater Airbus A320s has been permanently stationed at Graz Airport since 18 May 2009. This decision was prompted by rapid growth in the region. Graz is already a popular departure point for travellers from Carinthia and Slovenia, as well as Styria.
From May–September 2009 NIKI flights carried some 48,000 passengers to and from the city.
In the words of Niki Lauda: “Expanding to Graz was an excellent move, and we’re very happy with our performance this summer. But now we need to address the challenge of turning the Graz station into a success during the winter season, too.”
